I get many regilious items in the mail every week. I must have 5 or 6 little packets of Padre Pio oil. Combined I have a storage box of things from holy cards to rosaries to medals to prayer books etc, etc, etc. I don’t feel right throwing them in the garbage. What do I do with them? Please respond.
Father, can sacramentals be sold? This last Candlemas day I brought my own to be blessed. I understand some priests have bought candles, 2&5 day, to be purchased by parishioners who haven’t had the opportunity to buy before hand. I overheard someone scandalized by this, implying it’s simony.
Blessed objects cannot be sold. They can be given away and people can make an offering for them. Or the priest may have sold them before they were blessed.
When you receive a devotional object in the mail, you should take it to Mass, or make an appointment with your priest and ask him to bless it.
Father, it is so good to hear your voice again. I already can’t wait to listen to the next Podcast. So sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved dog Micki. If it’s ok with you I wòuld like to book o

How do we know if the items we receive in the mail are blessed or not when it doesn’t say?
Things you receive in the mail should not be blessed.
Should not be blessed why how can we use them if we don’t know rosaries oil etc are blessed,I take . To be blessed ,if already blessed no harm done!
