Hollywood Exaggeration
In seeing the pictures and video of the devastation from the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, one might believe they are looking at scenes from the movie 2012 or another apocalyptic flick. It is just so unbelievable, but it is reality. My heart goes out to all of the people whose lives were either changed or taken in an instant. Let us keep praying for the people of Japan and for God’s mercy in their time of trial. Below is a video clip taken at the Sendai airport. The people can see the wave of water coming, the fear and panic begin to set in. The first thing you see in the video are the cars and some people walking in the parking lot and all of sudden, you see the wave come in from the left and cars and busses begin to float away to the right.

Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life Leads Covert Mission to Rescue Baby Joseph
Even in the midst of the great darkness in our world, with all of the tragedy and difficulties, there is a great amount of good happening. When we see evil, we can be sure that God’s grace is working in much more powerful ways in place we do not see. God doesn’t work like in Hollywood. He came to us in the secret of a stable in the little village of Bethlehem. And so today, He still works in hidden and remarkable ways. Check out this great story! My comments in bold red.
“Under cover of darkness, Father Frank Pavone, Father 007 national director of Priests for Life, arrived in Ontario, Canada, Sunday night to rescue Baby Joseph Maraachli from the London Health Sciences Centre. It is scary to think that those whose work is to save life are so ready to end it for the weakest and most in need! For two weeks, doctors at the hospital in London, Ontario, have been delaying the baby’s transfer to a hospital where efforts to save his life will not be officially labeled “futile.”
“I knew, after this dragged on day after day, that I needed to be here myself to get Baby Joseph to safety,” said Father Pavone. “He needs to be in a hospital that cherishes life over the bottom line. Life before money, period. After around-the-clock negotiations, When negotiations fail, we must do anything possible to save human life! Even if it means placing our comfort and safety in harms way. this really became a race against time.” Father Pavone was accompanied by Priests for Life staff, who were there to assure the transfer proceeded smoothly.”

Awesome work Fr. Pavone! Let us all offer a special prayer for Fr. Pavone and all the staff at Priests for Life.

How many angels can fit…
The centuries old question of “How many angels can fit on the head of a pin?” will never be answered. Yet, we know how many people can fit in a Mini Cooper. I get a creak in my neck just laying in bed at night, so I can’t imagine doing this. Do you think you can break this record? Good luck!
