iPadre #20 – Interview With Capuchin Sisters of Nazareth

The iPadre Catholic Podcast Posted on May 8, 2006 by Fr. Jay FinelliMay 8, 2006 1

Yesterday was World Vocation Sunday.  A group of friends of mine came to my parish to conduct my Confirmation retreat.  Today we did an interview about their vocations, the order and the call to Religious Life.  The Sisters are young, vibrant and full of love for their vocations.  This is a great podcast! Maybe you can burn a copy and give it to a young woman who might have a vocation.

iPadre #18 – Posture & Participation at Mass

The iPadre Catholic Podcast Posted on April 29, 2006 by Fr. Jay FinelliApril 29, 2006

I’m back!  Sorry for the long delay.  Lent, Holy Week, Easter and Divine Mercy were really busy.  Today’s show continues with a talk from my Lenten series on Liturgy.  “The Power of Posture & Active Participation at Mass”.  This was a great talk given by a friend and parishioner of mine – Laurie Biszko.  We are a bit longer than normal, but it is well worth it.Most our Lenten series talks were based on a book by Pope Benedict XVI “The Spirit of the Liturgy”.  I highly recommend it.  It is a very slow reader.  You may have to re-read parts, but it will give you the thought of our Holy Father and where the Liturgy is headed in the future.

iPadre Video Special – Divine Mercy Chaplet and Benediction

The iPadre Catholic Podcast Posted on April 24, 2006 by Fr. Jay FinelliApril 24, 2006

On Divine Mercy Sunday, we had a great celebration.  We had about 500 people present.  The day began with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at 11:30 am, at 3:00 pm the Blessed Sacrament was reposed, a talk and healing service was given by Eileen George, founder of Meet-the-Father Ministry.  Following the healing service, I once again exposed the Blessed Sacrament for the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Benediction.  Following, there were 6 Priests hearing Confessions and a reception in our church hall.  In this VideoCast, we have the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

iPadre #14 – Liturgy

The iPadre Catholic Podcast Posted on March 11, 2006 by Fr. Jay FinelliMarch 11, 2006

Liturgy is at the very center of Catholic life and spirituality.  However, very few people understand what Liturgy is.  Is Liturgy something we make up as we go along?  It is something that we create to suit our needs and feelings, or is it something that makes us.  Today’s topic – What is Liturgy?
